The end of last month my family and I set out for a day of quail hunting at Gregorie Neck Plantation in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. I had the tough decision of either shooting with my shotgun or my camera so I compromised and took turns shooting both. It was a beautiful day and we bagged enough birds for my Mom to make her famous Jambalaya!! Shooting quail is my favorite type of hunting, I love watching the dogs work and it’s always exciting flushing the birds out.
