Legacy Project // Mrs. Jeane Meador // Hardeevile, South Carolina

Mrs. Meador lives just down the road from where I grew up and is my best friend James Lassiter’s grandmother. I’ve always enjoyed visiting her with James and knew she would be a wonderful addition to the Legacy Project. She lives in Hardeeville, South Carolina where she shared many happy years with her late husband Bill who served in the navy and was a woodworker. Mrs. Meador is 85 years old and spent her early life raising her six children. She now spends her time sewing, doing yardwork, and church activities. In addition to her six children she has nine grandchildren and 12 great grands. I had a really nice time photographing her (and eating a slice of her homemade cake with a glass of sweet tea was great too).
